This is a museum quality vintage Navajo very large thick and sturdy extremely wide silver cuff bracelet. This is one of the finest, heaviest and thick bracelets we have collected. The weight of the mind blowing bracelet weighs a whopping 289 grams, WOW! Located on this bracelet are 9 outstanding large and chunky turquoise stones that appear to be from the wonderful Morenci turquoise mine. The Morenci turquoise mine is located in southeastern Arizona, USA. It was first discovered in 1872 by a soldier named King who was stationed at nearby Fort Bowie. The mine produced a large amount of high-quality turquoise in the 20th century, and it is still in operation today. The turquoise from Morenci is known for its distinctive colors and matrix patterns. The colors range from light blue to dark blue with a variety of matrix patterns, including pyrite, quartz, and iron. The mine also produces some green turquoise, which is highly sought after by collectors. Morenci turquoise is often used in Native American jewelry, particularly by the Navajo and Zuni tribes. Accenting the turquoise stones are remarkable chunky coral stones, a total of 8 corals. Situated throughout the stones and located on the entire cuff is a plethora of handmade large thick silver stems and raindrops. Bordering the very thick and wide silver cuff are stunning deep silver wave and channel works. I absolutely love the detailing and intricacy on this bracelet. The center stone measures around 1-1/2" x 1-1/8". The width of the bracelet measures around 2-5/8". Signed by Navajo artist, KMK. Sterling silver. The inside end to end measures around 6-1/2" with an additional 1-1/4" gap. Sturdy 290 grams.
