Here we have an amazing vintage Navajo Native American jewelry Native American jewelry silver bowguard. I can't decide which are more vibrant and breathtaking - the gorgeous deep blue Spiderweb turquoise or the rich Mediterranean corals! But wow - they really stand out against the silver and the black leather that's seen behind the cut-out silverwork of the center shield. And what an interesting, unique technique - having the black leather contrast within the shield design of the beveled semi-textured borders and the beveled swirls - along with the beautiful north and south leaves, and as triple stems and berries spring out toward the east and west. And the two matching silver side bars are just as intriguing! They are each 3-1/2" x 5/8", with the stones set vertically with the turquoise inbetween the corals as silver swirls and beads reach out to the top and bottom. The sides are both framed with marvelous vertical hand wrought designs. The center turquoise stone measures 7/8" x 3/4". The center shield is 3-1/4" x 2-1/8" and the leather is 3-5/8" wide and 8-3/4" around when snapped closed. The center stone measures around 7/8" x 3/4".
