This is a superlative vintage Navajo important turquoise and silver squash blossom necklace handmade by the famous artist, Raymond Delgarito. This museum quality piece contains 11 remarkable large turquoise stones that appears to be from the rare Basalt turquoise mine. Surrounding the stones are impeccable silver beads, shells and sun stampings. The marvelous triple silver shank naja pendant is absolutely incredible as it is thick and sturdy with the center shank being hand coiled. The naja pendant measures around 3-1/4" X 3". Resting throughout the necklace are phenomenal round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. What makes this necklace so amazing is it includes a pair of matching turquoise and silver earrings. Each earring measures around 1-3/4" X 1" and the average stone measures around 7/8" X 3/4". Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Raymond Delgarito. The length of the necklace measures around 31". Sturdy 196 grams.
