Rare Technique Vintage Native American Navajo Geomtric Sterling Silver Buckle Old

This is an exceptional vintage Hopi or Navajo turquoise silver buckle. This beautiful large rectangular shaped thick silver buckle contains deep wonderful overlay patterns and stampings along with three large chunky Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones. Accenting the center stone are four incredible silver shells. The deepness of the overlay patterns is just amazing along with the inside chisel works. I love the accenting wave works that run from one side to the other in the center. This buckle measures around 3" X 2" and can fit a belt width of about 1-1/2" or less. The stones measure around 5/8" x 1/2". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Hopi or Navajo artist, JN. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 58 grams.
