One Of The Most Detailed Ever Vintage Native American Zuni Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace

This is an exceptional vintage Zuni inlaid Corn Maiden feather style silver necklace handmade by the famous artist, Eldred Martinez. Eldred is known for her impeccable hand inlaid and hand carved stone and shell workmanship. The inlay work on her pieces are usually hand carved with diamond patterns giving her pieces more character and detailing. This necklace contains a bottom inlaid Corn Maiden with two accenting large detailed inlaid silver feather patterns. The inlay includes mother of pearl, onyx, orange spiny oyster shell, turquoise and coral. Surrounding the inlaid sections are wonderful flattened silver shells and sun stampings. This necklace contains a wonderful handmade silver link chain with a traditional silver clasp. The bottom Corn Maiden measures around 1-1/8" in diameter while each feather measures around 3-1/2" X 1". Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Zuni artist, Eldred Martinez. The length of the necklace measures around 21". Sturdy 39 grams.
