This is an incredible vintageSanto Domingo/ Navajo turquoise necklace. This incredibly hand carved necklace consists of a large hand carved turquoise pendant along with 6 extra hand carved turquoise pieces situated throughout. The large pendant at the bottom is wonderfully hand carved into a superior Native man head. Then the hand carved turquoise stones situated throughout the rest of the necklace are of incredible birds. The large bottom pendant measures around 2-1/2" X 1-1/2". Situated throughout the rest of the necklace are phenomenal hand cut turquoise heishi stones with accenting rounded coral stones and a traditional silver clasp. The turquoise on this piece appears to be from both the Royston and and old Sleeping Beauty turquoise mines. Cir. Mid century . The length of the necklace measures around 25". Sturdy 34 grams.
