Native American Very Rare Vintage Ben Begaye (d) Sterling Silver Pillbox

This is a museum quality vintage Navajo large silver box. The box is a beautiful oval shape and is very sturdy and thick. Located on the lid of the box is a superior round purple stone that measures a whopping 1-1/2" in diameter. Surrounding the stone are incredible graduating silver raindrops and shells. Bordering the lid are wonderful silver sun stampings with a bordering silver rope. Located on the entire box are marvelous silver stampings and silver works that consist of sun stampings, foot stampings, line segments, teepee patterns, cloud works, feather works, and plant patterns. Also located throughout the box are stunning silver shells and ropes. The box contains four marvelous bottom large silver raindrops acting as feet. The entire box measures a whopping 2-3/4" X 1-1/2". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Navajo artist, Ben Begaye . Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 88 grams.
