This is an incredible Navajo very important turquoise and silver necklace handmade by the famous artist, Ben Begaye. This necklace contains a colossal hand carved turquoise stone that is remarkably hand carved into a huge bear with coral inlaid nose and eyes. The bear pendant measures a mind blowing 3-1/8" X 1-1/4" X 1". The large turquoise bear fetish pendant appears to be from the phenomenal Number 8 turquoise mine. Located at the bottom of the bear is a wonderful dangling silver bear paw pendant. The silver works on this necklace are just impressive and remarkable. The bail is thick and consists of large shells and raindrops. Then the acutal necklace part is on a whole other level being handmade silver thick links with more impeccable silver shells with a traditional silver clasp. This is a very heavy necklace. Sterling silver. Signed by Navajo artist, Ben Begaye . The length of the necklace measures around 28-1/2". Sturdy 185 grams.
