Master Darryl Becenti Vintage Native American Navajo Green Turquoise Sterling Silver Concho Belt

This is a breathtaking vintage Navajo important turquoise silver concho belt handmade by one of the most famous artists in history, Darrell Becenti. Darrell unfortunately passed away recently but he will be a legend forever as his silver works are extremely incredible. This outstanding piece contains 15 remarkable turquoise and silver conchos with a beautiful turquoise silver buckle. 8 of the conchos are amazing butterfly shaped conchos that measure around 2-1/8" X 1-1/2" and each of the rounded conchos measure around 2-1/4" in diameter. I absolutely love all of the beautiful rounded turquoise stones that are situated throughout the entire belt including the buckle. The stones appear to be from the phenomenal Royston turquoise mine. This is definitely one of the finest concho belts we have collected this year as the piece is just incredibly detailed, sturdy, and good quality. The silver works that are located throughout the piece include sun bursting patterns, sun stampings and plant works. I love how the artist placed leather on the back of each concho which is very rare and makes the belt that much more unique. The total ength of the belt measures around 53" long. The stones measure around 1/4" x 1/4". Signed by Navajo artist, Darrell Becenti . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 518 grams.
