Important Hand Carved Turquoise Sterling Silver Native American Zuni Necklace

This is a marvelous vintage Zuni very important inlaid silver necklace set handmade by one of the most famous inlaid Zuni artists in our time, Eldred Martinez. This set includes beautiful inlay work that includes pink shell, mother of pearl, turquoise, coral, yellow shell and onyx. The stones and shells are beautifully hand carved into diamond patterns. That is what Eldred is known for on her pieces, for the remarkable hand carvings of the stones and shells that really give more characteristic and detailing to her pieces. She goes above and beyond for her work of art. The large inalid kachinas at the sides of the necklace each measure around 4" X 1-1/2". The necklace includes a handmade silver link chain with a traditional silver clasp. This set includes matching earrings. Each earring measures around 3-1/8" X 1/2". Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Zuni artist, Eldred Martinez. The length of the necklace measures around 25". Sturdy 76 grams.
