This is an exceptional vintage Kewa inlaid shell and stone necklace. The intricacy of this necklace is absolutely astonishing!!! The necklace includes five impeccable inlaid larger pendants with the largest measuring around 2" X 2-1/2." The inlay in the larger pendants consist of opal, spiny oyster, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, Royston turquoise, Blue Gem turquoise, pipestone, lapis, jet and mother of pearl. Located throughout the larger inlaid pendants are 18 fabulous inlaid egg shaped pendants. The egg shaped pendants consist of beautiful white stones with accenting jet inlay, coral inlay, Sleeping Beauty turquoise inlay and Royston turquoise inlay. What is even more remarkable about this necklace is that it is double sided and can be worn with either side, just amazing! The other side of the necklace on the larger pendants consist of more amazing inlaid designs that consist of spiny oyster, Royston turquoise, pipestone, Blue Gem turquoise, mother of pearl, and jet. I just love the intricacy and detailing this necklace contains. Cir. 1970's+. The length of the necklace measures around 25". Sturdy 203 grams.
