This is a museum quality Santo Domingo unique inlaid bug pendant necklace. This remarkable necklace contains five outstanding large inlaid bugs that include flys, a bee, lady bug and a bottom butterfly. The intricacy and detailing of the bugs inlaid stones and shells is absolutely impressive. The inlaid stones and shells on this necklace consist of orange spiny oyster shell, Royston turquoise, mother of pearl, coral, jet, abalone, lapis and jet. The bottom largest inlaid bug which is the butterfly measures around 2-1/4" X 3". Resting throughout the necklace are pheomenal hand cut graduating chunky jet disc stones. The necklace is amazing as it can be adjusted in length measuring from about 22" to about 26". Sterling silver. Sturdy 129 grams.
