This is an incredible vintage Navajo turquoise and silver bolo tie. This remarkable bolo is unique as it is a large hand carved silver kachina. The kachina bolo measures a whopping 5" X 2". Located on the bolo are 6 stunning turquoise stones that appear to be from the rare Gilbert turquoise mine. Situated throughout the bolo is a beautiful plethora of silver works that consist of ropes, shells, fan patterns and raindrops. This bolo was handmade by the famous artist, Gene Hale. Just look at those spectacular huge silver pins and squashes that rest at the bottom of the 49" thick brown leather tie. Those pins each measure a mind blowing 4" X 3/8", WOW! The stones measure around 1/2" x 3/8". Signed by Navajo artist, Gene Hale . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 105 grams.
