This is a museum quality vintage Navajo all silver bracelet handmade by the extremely famous artist, Kenneth Begay. Kenneth Begay was taught by one of the most famous artists, Fred Peshlakai and Kenny had become known as "the father of modern Navajo jewelry." This piece was handmade in the famous White Hogan Silver Shop which was originally located in Flagstaff AZ but relocated to Scottsdale AZ. The first silversmiths who made jewelry in the White Hogan Silver Shop were Kenneth Begay and Allen Kee. Kenneth Begay is a multiple award winner and is one of the best, if not THE BEST, Navajo silversmith artist in history. This is a very rare and unique one of a kind bracelet. The bracelet is solid sterling silver with impeccable unique deep shell pattern indentations running from one end to the other. Accenting the indentations are marvelous deep silver channel line segments. This bracelet is very thick and sturdy and absolutely breathtaking not only because of the impressive silverworks but also because it was made by the remarkable and very talented Navajo artist, Kenneth Begay. The width of the bracelet measures around 3/8". Signed by Navajo artist, Kenneth Begay with the White Hogan. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1960's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/2" with an additional 1-1/2" gap. Sturdy 27 grams.
