This is a remarkable vintage Navajo turquoise and silver squash blossom necklace. This museum quality necklace is very early and is extremely rare as it includes 17 incredibly old turquoise stones that appear to be from the Red Mountain turquoise mine. The average stone measures around 1/2" X 3/8". The amazing hand wrought natural patina silver naja pendant measures around 2-3/4" X 3". Surrounding the stones are wonderful silver repoussed shells, swirling stems, ropes and raindrops. This necklace carries a beaitful plethora of round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . The length of the necklace measures around 30-1/2". Sturdy 169 grams.
