This is a museum quality vintage Navajo Native American jewelry turquoise and silver squash blossom necklace. This opulent piece is one of the most incredibly hand carved pieces we have ever collected as it contains five remarkably huge hand carved turquoise stones. The stones are beautifully hand carved into leaves with the largest measuring around 2-1/2" X 1-3/4". Situated throughout the entire necklace are stunning round silver beads with each bead containing amazing silver sun patterns. The turquoise appears to be from the very rare Blue Warrior turquoise mine in Nevada. Located at each end of the leaves are handmade silver tubules. Sterling silver. Cir. 1950's+. Signed by Navajo Native American jewelry artist, Al Platero . The length of the necklace measures around 29". Sturdy 148 grams.
