This is an astonishing vintage Santo Domingo turquoise shell necklace. This fascinating necklace contains a bottom inlaid shell pendant that is just absolutely remarkable. The shell pendant consists of inlaid pipestone, turquoise, abalone, mother of pearl, red spiny oyster, purple spiny oyster and jet. Resting at the bottom of the inlaid shell pendant are three impeccable sections hand carved disc shaped stones and shells that danle from the shell. The entire pendant measures around 5-1/8" X 3". Running up the fascinating double strand necklace are more impressive hand cut stones and shells that also consist of tan shell, pipestone, turquoise and jet.
