One Of The Most Unique Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Animal Buckle

This is a superlative vintage Navajo carved stone and turquoise stone thick silver buckle. The impeccable buckle consists of a large chunky Sleeping Beauty turquoise stone with an accenting large oval shaped carved tan stone. The carving on the tan stone is absolutely remarkable consisting of a mountain lion. Accenting the stones are fascinating silver works that include a handmade silver horned toad with an accenting silver raindrop and silver leaf. The textured background on this rectangular shaped buckle consists of wonderful zig zag patterns, so amazing. The bordering of the buckle is also amazing and protrudes out. This buckle measures around 3" X 2" and can fit a belt width of about 1-3/8" or less. The largest stone measures around 1-1/2" x 1-1/8". Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . Sturdy 68 grams.
