This is a museum quality vintage Navajo mother of pearl and silver squash blossom necklace being one of the finest mother of pearl squash blossom necklaces we have ever collected. This impeccable necklace is absolutely mind blowing as it consists of 17 outstanding hand cut rounded mother of pearl shells that rest amazingly in the center of shadowbox leaves. This necklace is very rare as it is very difficult to come across mother of pearl squash blossom necklace, let alone this large and old. Each of the shells measure around 3/8" in diameter and each of the leaf squashes measure around 2-1/4" X 7/8". The 3-3/8" X 3-1/4" double silver shank naja pendant contains 5 more beautiful hand carved silver leaves that measure around 1-1/2" X 7/8". Resting throughout the majority of the necklace are fabulous handmade round silver beads with old natural patina and a traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century .
