In fact the number one hallmark book for Native American artists featured it as the only hallmark shown on the COVER of the book...The book is Billie Hougart's silver hallmarks book. This is a museum quality vintage Hopi turquoise silver ring handmade by the extremely famous artist, Jesse Monongye. Jesse is an incredibly famous Hopi silversmith who learned how to make his beauitful jewelry from his father, Preston Monongye. He went on to become a multiple award winner. Jesses workmanship is absolutely stunning and his pieces are extremely valuable. This ring contains a phenomenal large chunky Old Sleeping Beauty turquoise stone with outstanding surrounding silver works. The silver works include leaves, raindrops and stems. This ring is so incredible. The center stone measures around 3/4" x 1/2". The ring face measures around 1-3/4" x 3/4". Signed by Hopi artist, Jesse Monongye. The ring size is around 4.5. Cir. 1970's+. Sterling silver. Sturdy 11 grams.
