The pretty Sleeping Beauty turquoise stone is set on the body of the figure! A picture's worth a thousand words! Sleeping Beauty turquoise is a unique, beautiful light to medium blue color. It usually has few spider webbing matrix lines. For these reasons it is highly prized and has a special place in the world of turquoise. This turquoise is collected from the Sleeping Beauty mine, which is near the town of Globe in Arizona. Kachinas are a fundamental part of the spiritual and cultural traditions of the various Native American tribes of the Southwest. Their presence is felt throughout the year in various ceremonies, dances, and rituals. The center stone measures around 3/8" x 5/16". The ring face measures around 1-1/4" x 3/4". Signed by Navajo artist, Nelson Morton. The ring size is around 8-1/2. Sterling silver, marked. Sturdy 10 grams.
