The Royston turquoise mine, located in Nevada, is renowned for producing some of the finest quality turquoise in the world. The mine, which consists of four claim sites known as Bunker Hill, Easter Blue, Oscar Wehrend, and Royal Blue, has been a significant source of turquoise since the early 1900s. Royston turquoise is celebrated for its stunning color variations, ranging from deep blues to vibrant greens, often with a unique golden brown matrix. These striking characteristics make Royston turquoise highly sought after by jewelry makers and collectors. The mine is still active today, and its turquoise remains a symbol of American Southwestern heritage and craftsmanship. The center stone measures around 1/2" x 3/8".
