Huge Heavy Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Concho Belt Old

This is a magnificent vintage Navajo turquoise silver concho belt. This piece contains 7 colossal hand tooled silver conchos that each measure around 3" in diameter. Situated in the center of the conchos are amazing blue turquoise stones that each measure around 1/2" X 3/8". The stones appear to possibly be from the old blue Carico Lake turquoise mine. The surrounding silver works consist of sun stampings, plant works, half moon patterns and teepee works. The buckle on this belt measures around 3" X 2-1/2" and contains three more beautiful turquoise stones. The silver works that rest on the buckle include mountains, arrows and repoussed shells. The conchos are thick, sturdy and heavy. Look at the wonderful leather backings on the conchos which are absolutely remarkable. Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . This belt will fit a waist size between 37-1/2" and 56-1/2". Sturdy 547 grams.
