This is a museum quality vintage Navajo turquoise silver concho belt. This phenomenal concho belt is very thick and sturdy containing 13 fabulous silver conchos and a remarkable silver buckle. The larger conchos each measure around 2-1/2" X 2-1/4" while the buckle measures a whopping 3-1/4" X 2-3/4". Resting in the center of each concho and around the buckle are marvelous turquoise stones that appear to be from the superior Lone Mountain turquoise mine. This is a very old and rare concho belt as it even consists of old pawn marks. Pawn marks are the way that traders used to mark their inventory and is considered extremley and highly collectible. The stones measure around 3/8" x 1/4". Sterling silver. Cir. 1930's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 38-1/2" and 46-1/2". Sturdy 483 grams.
