This is a remarkable vintage Navajo extremely important silver concho belt handmade by the famous artist, Ray Adakai. This is one of the finest link concho belts we have ever collected. This piece can be worn within belt links and not on top of clothing. Ray is one of the best silver smith artists in history. The belt consists of 23 phenomenal hand carved silver conchos that are both rounded and butterfly shaped. The large rounded conchos each measure around 1-1/2" X 1-1/4" and the amazing silver buckle measures around 1-3/4" X 1-1/2". Located on each of the conchos and buckle are absolutely stunning silver sun patterns, plant patterns and repoussed shells. Signed by Navajo artist, Ray Adakai . Sterling silver. Cir. 1980's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 32" and 36". Sturdy 158 grams.
