Al Martinez Vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Star Concho Belt Old

This is a magnificent vintage Navajo silver star pattern concho belt. This remarkable belt consists of 10 outstanding rounded beautiuflly stamped silver conchos that each measure around 2-1/8" in diameter. Located on each concho are fabulous silver sun stampings, slanted patterns, sun bursting patterns, a center star pattern and accenting silver raindrops. I absolutely adore the silver works and workmanship on this concho belt. The buckle on this piece is amazing as it matches beautifully with the design of each concho just measuring larger, 2-3/4" in diameter. Resting behind each concho are fascinating thick leather pieces to help hold the belt together better. This belt is just so marvelous. Signed by Navajo artist, Al Martinez. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 24" and 31-1/4". Sturdy 374 grams.
