Heavy 500 Gram Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Concho Belt

This is an impressive vintage Navajo turquoise and silver concho belt. What is so unique about this belt is that it is extremeley heavy for the size of the piece. This belt consists of 10 phenomenal silver rounded conchos with a superior accenting rectangular shaped silver buckle. Each of the conchos measure around 2-5/8" X 2" and contains a wonderful center dome shaped blue turquoise stone. The surrounding silver works are absolutely remarkable consisting of sun stampings, dotted works, sun bursting patterns and channel works. The amazing large silver buckle measures around 3" X 2-1/4" and contains more fascinating silver works. The total length of this belt measures around 42" long. The stones measure around 3/8" x 1/8". Signed by Navajo artist, Jimmy Shay . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 490 grams.
