Hand Tooled Vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Concho Belt

This is a magnificent vintage Navajo museum quality thick and sturdy silver concho belt. This remarkable belt contains a beautiful plethora of chunky oval shaped silver conchos that each measure around 1" X 3/4". What is so unique about this belt is that the backs of the conchos, the links, are also made of sterling silver. The links of conchos typically consist of copper rather than sterling silver which is absolutely incredible. The belt consists of 24 outstanding handmade silver conchos with each containing sun stampings, cloud stampings and dotted works with a center repoussed diamond shell. The buckle on the marvelous belt is large and contains more beautiful silver stampings such as sun bursting patterns, concho patterns, sun stampings and dotted works. The buckle measures around 2-1/2" X 1-3/4". Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . This belt will fit a waist size between 28" and 36". Sturdy 137 grams.
