This huge, amazing square-cut domed Godber turquoise stone sets majestically upon its square silver platform as it perfectly frames it! And the ring has a thick band with cool carvings and stampings! Godber turquoise, also known as Godber-Burnham turquoise, is a highly prized variety of turquoise known for its vibrant colors and exceptional quality. The Godber turquoise mine, located in Lander County, Nevada, is the source of this turquoise. Originally known as the Godber mine, it was later renamed Godber-Burnham after being operated by the Burnham family. It is one of the oldest and most famous turquoise mines in Nevada. The turquoise from this mine is famous for its bright sky blue hues, as well as blue-green varieties. It often features a striking black spiderweb matrix or a golden-brown host rock matrix. These characteristics make it highly collectible. Godber turquoise is known for its high hardness and density, making it ideal for jewelry. The mine has not been actively producing turquoise for many years, which has significantly increased the rarity and value of Godber turquoise. Collectors and jewelers highly seek after it.
