This is an astonishing vintage Zuni turquoise and coral silver squash blossom necklace. This outstanding piece contains a beautiful plethora of turquoise and coral stones. This is one of the finest and most collectible pieces we have collected this year as this squash blossom is absolutely incredible being handmade by the famous artist, Dan Simplicio. Dan Simplicio is one of the most famous artist in history and this squash is one of the finest we have ever seen done by Dan. Dan was a prolific artist who specialized in unique one of a kind silver works and the use of turquoise and coral stones in his pieces. He was was probably the most famous artist who utilized both on most of his pieces but his silver works is what Dan is really known for. Look at that fascinating traditional silver clasp with amazing round silver beads and that gragantuan silver naja pendant. The naja pendant measures a whopping 3-1/2" X 3-3/4". The largest turquoise stone measures around 3/4" X 3/8". The piece is signed by what appears to be pawn marks which is correct and then maybe a proud previous owner as Dan did not sign most of his pieces. Sterling silver. Cir. 1950's+. The length of the necklace measures around 30". Sturdy 213 grams.
