Archie Ganadonegro was born in 1954 in Alamo, New Mexico, a Navajo community, and began working with silver in 1984. A few years later, his wife La Rose joined him in the craft, and the two have since built a reputation as a dynamic husband-and-wife jewelry-making team — a working arrangement that's fairly common in Navajo silversmithing, where couples often divide tasks like stamping, stone-setting, and finishing between them, or work through a full piece together from start to finish.

Together, Archie and La Rose represent one of the more established collaborative pairs among Southwest jewelers, with each contributing to a shared body of work rather than producing entirely separate lines.
