About Andy Cadman

Andy Cadman was born in 1966 in Gallup, New Mexico — a city widely regarded as one of the trading and cultural hubs of Native American jewelry in the Southwest — and began working with silver in 1989 at the age of 23. He is part of the extended Cadman-Reeves family of Navajo silversmiths, learning the trade through the same close-knit family network that has produced several other respected jewelers, including his own father, Anderson Cadman.

Andy is the half-brother of the Reeves silversmiths and brother to fellow jewelers Darrell and Donavon Cadman. Growing up around a house full of working silversmiths gave Andy an early, hands-on education in the trade, and the stylistic overlap between the Cadman siblings' work reflects those shared roots even as each has developed an individual approach over the years.
